False Information....
For the person who wrote bad things about this restaurant saying that their food is not fresh and it is all frozen and microwaved, they have no idea what they are talking about. I have been working for the Olive Garden for 11 years now and I can assure you that there is not a single item on our menu that is considered a "microwave meal." We have co-workers that show up at 7 in the morning every morning to make our soups and sauces from SCRATCH. All of our veggies and fruits are prepped FRESH DAILY. Our meats are cooked AS THEY ARE ORDERED. We have a wonderful menu of FRESH foods to select from, and everything is made to order. This is NOT a fast food chain. I would definately come out to this OG...it is a wonderful atmosphere with great food at great prices.

Why bother?.
Nothing is fresh, all of the food is pre-cooked and frozen. Why anyone would choose to eat here when there is a Carrabas (literally) right across the street is beyond me. I'm not an overweight American, so the soup salad and bread stick buffet is not a draw for me or my family, I would tell anyone who doesn't want microwaved food to pass this one by.

Traditional dishes and all -you-can-eat salad, soup and bread sticks are the draw at this upscale-casual Italian restaurant..
In Short
Established in 1982, this chain gained a following for its laid-back atmosphere and generous portions. Patrons settle into comfortable booths and tables in dining rooms with plants, artwork and décor reminiscient of the villas in the Tuscan countryside. Starters include scampi, sausage or pepperoni pizza, and several soup choices, as well as a signature seafood dip (crab, shrimp, cheese and marinara). Entrees include classics like lasagna, fettuccine Alfredo and chicken parmigiana. There are also "Garden Fare" options, which promise 30 percent fewer calories.

High Expectations ; Stiff Prices; Huge Disapointment.
As a self made chef and part time food critic my expectations for the meal at the Olive Garden were very promising in my mind . A nice authintic mussels marinara was on my list to enjoy . Upon my arrival I was quickly seated and served with a menu and a friendly smile from my wiatress. My order was promptly taken and drinks were soon to follow . Mussels marinara was the charge , The wait for my dish was short and the atmosphere was quaint . When the time came for presentation of my meal so followed my disapointment. Pasta was precooked , swollen and dripping with an ooze of a sauce which I can only describe as yesterdays garbage. Over cooked small black mussels that had been sparingly tossed around in the dish and not presented in a articulate fashiion . I wish I could say that all the hype about authintic Italian cusine at Olive Garden was infact correct but I can not . If your looking for great service and mediocore food with stiff pricing this is your place
