Valley View Grande. I am personally a fan of Carmike Cinema however I come to Valley View Grande on rare occasions, I am a fan of both but I find Carmike to be more convenient, and less expensive in the food department. The Valley View grande is a nice theatre and I personally have to disagree with "moviebuff". The theatre is clean I was in there the other day watching "A Christmas Carol", there was no scent of older people, no dirt on the floor or seats. The inside of the theatre is nice, and more convenient spacing. I would personally suggest going to Carmike due to the price, but Valley View Grande is also a great place for teeangers. I am a teenager in the Roanoke Valley and it is ignorant how we have nothing to do other than drive around, go to Walmart and seldom times have some event going on downtown. I love Roanoke but the movie theatre is one of the last things we have left to keep us entertained and in the Roanoke Valley after highschool - and we're not even allowed in Valley View Mall after certain times now. In the end, I highly regard anyone to come to this theatre, always a good selection of movies.

a question to moviebuff (a comment or 2 below). why would you wear nice clothes to a movie theater? i never seen an of the movie room as dirty as your acting ITS A MOVIE THEATER MAN...

it only going to be as clean as you leave it. maybe if you and others would clean after themself it wouldnt be as bad as you acting.

it really clean comparing to other theaters here in Va and other states.. trust me...

GREAT MOVIES CLEAN 70% OF TIME !COULD BE CLEANER!BUT ALL ALL IT IS WAY BETTER THAN CARMIKE 10 TANG. GOOD POPCORN!CLEAN MOST OF THE TIME ! GREAT MOVIES ! FAST SERVICE. MY FAMILY HAD A GOOD TIME.WE WILL GO BACK!!!!!!

Wear your oldest clothing to this place (or a pair of coveralls).........ick. It's gone downhill FAST.. Just a few months ago, when Valley View Grand was owned by CONSOLIDATED, it was a first-rate theatre. But at some point, the theatre was bought by Regal Ent. Group, who has been able to trash the place in no time. Simply put: the theatre is a DUMP.

It's not a place to go to wearing nice clothing, since the seats and carpet haven't been cleaned since Regal began "managing" the place. The theatres smell like an old-folks home, the concession stand is always sticky and a hang-out for flies, the popcorn butter-dispensers are either suspiciously smelly, or empty, and I won't even mention the bathrooms - toxic. Even the staff acts embarressed, like they are experiencing unexpected guests in a very messy house.

It's an embarressment to Roanoke.

great!. although this movie theater is a tad bit over priced, as any movie theater is. i thought that it was the best movie theater i'd ever been to! i would defiantly recommend this place to ANYONE!

awesome theater. I have to honestly say that Valley View grande is a great theater. They have good food and a great selection

of choices and great customer service. I will surely go back for a movie in the future

The Best Theater in the Roanoke Valley. If you want to see a movie when in Roanoke Valley View Grande is the best. I've been to the three major theaters and Valley View is the best around, its extra money yes but its so worth it. The employees are helpful and kind and the consessions are great. The movie selection is great and the seats in the theater are nice. Its worth the extra money to go to Valley View Grande.

Customer Service. This past summer I brought in a group of 100 plus weekly for the $1.00 movies. The movie selection was great. I would like to see the choices this year and calendar online. Every week Ms. Lindsey and the manager (I forgot her name) was so nice to us. They went above and beyond there call of duty.... I appreciate that the Cinema is ran with great management and wonderful customer service.... Every week we knew what section to set in and that was great. Taking care of children is a job but when you are responsible for 100 plus its very demanding. I want all the staff and management team to know how great you treated me and every child that attended... I will continue to do business with you....

A Fine Movie Experience. Valley View Grande (VVG) is one of the better theaters in the Roanoke area. First, all screens are stadium seating which is excellent. The movie selection is pretty good. The atmosphere is very good, with several movie promos, large lobby with a preview screen. Prices are high for both admission and concessions. Theaters, main areas, and bathrooms are clean and trash free. Despite a good concession selection, the popcorn is not freshly made, sometimes you can get a bucket or bag of stale popcorn. Since it a good theater, it is popular which causes crowds. It is crowded and doesn't have enough parking, but the atmosphere makes up for this problem, popcorn aside. On a scale of 1 to 10, VVG gets a 7
