Roanoke >Replay Games & Dvd
Do business with them at your own RISK!!!!.
This company is horrible! It's owned by a closed minded bigot who hates video games and has a lackey with "small groin syndrome" overseeing the stores. They are unethical and don't pay their employees overtime, they don't give breaks, they file fraudulent insurance claims. They won't be in business long enough at this rate.
By the way some inside information for the locals:
*Movie Stars went out of business because it was OWNED by the SAME GUY and run by the same failure district manager.
*they buy fakes from china so be sure to check and make sure you have real product
*their owner denies the importance of internet
*they copy games stop pricing charts
*they violate UCC out right
*they have no distribitor they go to best buy/walmar and toys r us, t o buy their product on sale and sell it higher in their store.
*their rental dvds come from walmart
*they have no real security system: it's all fake minus the motion detectors. Cameras are all fake ;D
*they have no IT security system.

I HAVE GONE TO REPLAY IN ROCKY MOUNT AND THEY TREATED ME GREAT. I WENT TO THE ONE IN ROANOKE AND WAS TREATED LOUSY. I TOOK MY GRAND CHILDREN TO THE STORE IN ROANOKE I
PURCHASED 55.59 DOLLARS WORTH OF GOODS. WE ASKED IF OUR WII WOULD PLAY THE CUBE GAMES . I HERD IT DID I WAS TOLD THAT THEY WOULD SO WE BOUGHT ONE GAME. WE TOOK IT HOME ONLY TO FIND OUT IT WOULD NOT WORK SO I CALLED THE STORE AND WAS TOLD THAT IT MIGHT HAVE A SCRATCH ON IT TO BRING IT IN SO THE NEXT DAY I DID. THE SO CALLED MANAGER
PLAYED THE GAME AND IT WORKED. SO I THEN ASKED HIM WHY IT WOULD NOT WORK ON MY WII
AT THAT POINT I WAS TOLD THAT I NEEDED A CUBE CONTROLER THIS IS THE FIRST I HAD HERD OF THIS. BY THE WAY FOR 12.99. I REFUSED TO SPEND ANYMORE MONEY AND ASKED IF HE WOULD EXCHANGE IT FOR A GAME OF THE SAME VALUE FOR THE PS2 BUT HE REFUSED AND SAID THE GAME WORKED AND WOULD NOT EXCHANGE IT.SO I TOLD HIM HE COULD KEEP IT, IT'S NO GOOD TO ME . SO I'M OUT 10.00 BECAUSE KNOW ONE TOLD US WE NEEDED A CONTROLER . I FEEL THEY SHOULD HAVE AT LEAST EXCHANGED IT. OF COURSE I'LL NEVER SHOP THERE AGAIN.
Horrible Treatment of Employees / Prices beat by Gamestop/ Low cd quality.
I have experience from behind the counter ,and was treated great until recently by Replay Games and DVD. When every single person in my store was laid-off with no warning for not making enough money. So I will give you a feel of how I viewed the store as I worked there.
While I was working at Re-Play Games (My hole store was recently laid-off with out warning) , I found a few things that bugged me and drove me up the wall. Including but not limited to:
1. Poor CD quality (not just CD`s traded in to the store but also CD`s shipped to us from other stores)
This includes one CD which was missing part of the hole in the center that I encountered on a return. (yes it was sold) , and CD`s that look like some one took a quarter and tried to play a scratch ticket on them.
2. Game stop I believe still had better trade-in rates on consoles even with the Re-Play games and DVD advantage card (which saves you 10% on new games and gets you more money for trade-ins).
3. The employees (I was one) are as trained and certified as any one else on games. Yes the application asks if we play video games however, other then the training to run the store its self, We receive no video game training. I found some questions difficult to answer , as I personally prefer the first person shooting genre of video games. I could not answer questions on any titles except that genre of game. I went into Game stop , and I was floored by the answers the associate was giving, that only one manager (the general manager) in my store could compare to.
4. The prices either match or are more then they are at Game Stop.
The store is great, and the employees are held to high standards however, those three main points are pointless when you can go to Game stop and receive better prices, better quality, better experience, and better trade-in values for the things you trade in. I encourage you to go to Game Stop.
