My 6yr. old. daughter, 8 yr.old son and myself (48 yrs. old) all take taekwondo at the Virginia Martial Arts Academy. It has and continues to be a wonderful experience. I visited other schools in the area and none compared to the Academy. It is a non-commercialized school. The students are taught discipline, focus, self- esteem, in addition to taekwondo.It has helped my children tremendously in school. They are taught that their, "mind is the most powerful weapon they have." The school has produced top competitors and gold medalist at the Junior Olympics. The instructors are wonderful and strict but they make it fun! I also take and love it at the Academy.
Pros: Excellent instruction, very disciplined
