Rip off in Valley view mall Roanoke,Virginia T.G.I.F.

by lisaperdue

My experience at T.G.I.F. in Roanoke ,Virginia was a rip off!!! My daughter and I were reading a menu that had delicious looking pictures on it..I ordered for me and my daughter the JACK DANIELS CHICKEN..the menu reads 2 succulent chicken breasts, chargrilled and coated in Jack Daniels sweet and smoky glaze.

Served with fresh vegetables and our cheesy mash with more Jack Daniels glaze on the side. Okay so our plate arrived and I would have been so embarrassed if I had treated company to dinner!!!! IT HAD ONE PIECE OF CHICKEN ABOUT 1/4 INCH THICK,NO CHEESE POTATOES( they were plain and dried )AND THE VEGGIES WERE WHITE WAXED GREEN BEANS WITH ONE DIME SIZE PIECE OF BROCCOLI IN IT.I was boiling mad. I confronted my waiter and asked where the other chicken breast is and he said because this was a large breasts you get one piece...Then continued to say that the picture was a double breasted chicken pic!!! And the menu clearly advertises 2 !! I demanded a manager who actually clearly said the same as the waiter..Then she hurried and said "i will get you another one" as if she was doing me a favor. Noone eats waxed white green beans!! The pic showed beautiful broccoli and about 3 wax beans..The manager proceeded to bring the other chicken and also took $ 7.00 dollars off the dinner..The actual plate was 14.99 and trying to get away with one piece of chicken..Better yet lying to the customers who can clearly read.....As you see they are taking advantage of the customers and making them think they are reading the menu incorrectly.......Wise up folks and watch your food..I won't go in again.....

  • Pros: Friendly at the front door.
  • Cons: Rip off ..The staff was trained that way and the manager also lied.

Every night is the weekend at this bistro, where families enjoy American kitsch and cuisine alongside partying singles.

In Short
The much-copied look of hardwood floors, decorative stained glass, checked tablecloths, brass rails and walls filled with knickknacks has been a staple at this restaurant franchise. Originally a hit for its frisky bar scene, Friday's is now known just as much for its kid-friendly entrees. The menu alternates between typical American fare (salads, potato skins, Angus burgers and grilled chicken) and modestly international cuisine like fajitas, wraps and pot stickers.
